Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that the body can produce itself when exposed to sunlight. It is important for your immune system, muscles, and bones.

Vitamin D3 deficiency is more common:

• if you have darker skin
• if you are not outdoors every day between 11 AM and 3 PM
• in pregnant women
• in women with fair skin aged 50 and over
• in men with fair skin aged 70 and over
• in children up to and including 3 years old

A deficiency is particularly more common during the winter months. Do you often stay indoors? And are you unsure if you are getting enough vitamin D3 from the sun or your diet? Then a supplement is a solution to maintain your vitamin D3 level.

Our vitamin D3 comes from algae, unlike many other supplements whose source is unclear (often synthetic). In addition, it also contains 250 mg of Omega-3 DHA. Omega-3 fatty acids are good for your heart, brain and eyes.

The recommended daily allowance (RDA) is 10 mcg per day.
