Plnktn Omega Plus combines pure omega-3 from microalgae with naturally sourced astaxanthin and phospholipids (including phosphatidylcholine). Together, they form a complete, fish-free formula inspired by krill oil — yet entirely plant-based.
The omega-3 is derived from Schizochytrium sp. and provides at least 250 mg DHA and 125 mg EPA per daily dose. Scientific research shows that a daily intake of at least 250 mg of omega-3 contributes to normal heart, brain and vision function (EFSA-approved health claims).
Astaxanthin is often referred to as the “king of carotenoids” and is widely studied for its role in protecting cells against oxidative stress. Omega Plus contains astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis, an algae cultivated using a CO₂-neutral, high-quality production process.

I am super happy with this; I specifically chose it because it is vegan. And we leave the fish alone, so that's a win-win 😃 Furthermore, it was delivered on time, and customer service responds quickly and friendly. Product works well, no side effects, but I also didn't have any with a similar product from another company. That one was also algae-based, so vegan. I switched to this brand because I like that it's cultivated in the Netherlands without having to be fished from nature. In terms of price, it's even slightly cheaper than my previous brand.
