The plant-based alternative to krill oil. With omega-3, astaxanthin and phospholipids for optimal absorption.
Plnktn Omega Plus combines pure omega-3 from microalgae with naturally sourced astaxanthin and phospholipids (including phosphatidylcholine). Together, they form a complete, fish-free formula inspired by krill oil — yet entirely plant-based.
The omega-3 is derived from Schizochytrium sp. and provides at least 250 mg DHA and 125 mg EPA per daily dose. Scientific research shows that a daily intake of at least 250 mg of omega-3 contributes to normal heart, brain and vision function (EFSA-approved health claims).
Astaxanthin is often referred to as the “king of carotenoids” and is widely studied for its role in protecting cells against oxidative stress. Omega Plus contains astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis, an algae cultivated using a CO₂-neutral, high-quality production process.

The dark side of krill oil
Krill is a crucial link in the Antarctic ecosystem, but krill fishing has quadrupled since the 1990s, ending up en masse as supplements and feed for farmed salmon. Now that quotas have been relaxed, scientists warn of the impact on whales, seals, and penguins. That's why we choose krill oil from algae: 100% plant-based and produced without pressure in Antarctica.
A lot of krill for a little oil
Krill oil requires enormous quantities of krill — tiny shrimp harvested en masse from the sea for supplements.
Not only krill is disappearing
Krill are the base of the Antarctic food chain and vital for whales, penguins, and seals — fewer krill can have a major impact on the ecosystem.
Why krill? Omega-3 + astaxanthin come from algae.
Krill does not produce omega-3 or astaxanthin itself—it obtains these from algae, so go directly to the source: omega-3 + astaxanthin from algae, cultivated on land.
Not your standard omega-3
Our oil comes directly from algae, without animals, aftertaste or unnecessary processing.
Omega-3, good for your heart, eyes and brain.
The Health Council recommends 200 mg of omega-3 daily , but RIVM research shows that only 11.4% of Dutch people achieve this.

I am super happy with this
I'm super happy with this; I specifically chose it because it's vegan. And we leave the fish alone, so that's a win-win! 😃 Also, it was delivered on time, and customer service is quick and friendly. I've expanded my subscription to include plankton capsules, and I have high expectations for them! Hahaha!
It is a quality product
It's a quality product from a food-grade source. Better for the body's absorption. I'm very satisfied!
Product works well
The product works well, no side effects, but I didn't experience any with a similar product from another company. That one was also algae-based, so vegan. I switched to this brand because I like that it's Dutch-grown without having to be harvested from nature. It's even slightly more affordable than my previous brand.
I like it!
I've only been using it for a few days! I really like it! The packaging is beautiful, and they've put a lot of thought into it! Top product!
No aftertaste
No aftertaste or fishy burps
Works very well
I'm currently using this product instead of the fish oil version. I really like it. It's great to use this natural product.
No noticeable effect yet. I have confidence in it.
I've been using it for a few weeks because I don't want to eat fish, but I haven't noticed any noticeable effects yet. I'm confident, though, so I'll keep using it. Fast delivery and well packaged.
Fine product
Great product, easy to take, and I love the subscription. You know exactly when they'll be back, so no more worries if you don't have time to buy them.
So nice
It's so nice that I now know that I am getting enough omega-3 fatty acids, among other things, and that I can therefore remain a vegetarian with peace of mind.
