The plan
Vegetables, Fruit, Algae.
WE'RE MAKING ALGAE THE NEW STANDARD.
For years, scientists and researchers have highlighted the power of algae. Not only as food for the future, but as one of the smartest ways to balance our health and planet. Yet, they long remained under the radar.
Until now.
We are giving algae the stage they deserve, a place in our daily diet. With a clear plan and a future-oriented vision. From the classic "Schijf van Vijf" (Wheel of Five) to a new "Schijf van Zes" (Wheel of Six) – in which algae take their place alongside fruits and vegetables.
Because when it comes to nutritional value, algae are absolute game-changers.
Pioneership
What Patagonia did for clothing, Oatly for dairy, and Tony’s Chocolonely for chocolate – that’s what we want to do for food.
They didn't make us consume more – but better. Not by shouting louder, but by thinking ahead. By reframing the narrative and elevating the experience. By making people feel that things can be different. Better.
They proved that ideals and impact are not contradictions. That you can start a movement without compromising on quality.
What they did for the clothing, dairy, and chocolate industries, we want to do for food. With algae. Big changes start with a good plan.
Why it's time for something new
What we eat influences more than we think. Not only our health and energy, but also the world around us. Our current food system is not designed for this. It has two fundamental shortcomings:
01
02
Take Omega-3, for example: essential for a healthy heart and brain. If everyone were to get the recommended dosage from fish, there wouldn't be enough fish in the ocean. It's no different with proteins: they are indispensable for our bodies, but according to Wageningen University, the global production of animal sources is simply not sustainable. The good news? Algae are the primary source of Omega-3 — not fish. And they produce the same proteins and other important nutrients, but with a fraction of the impact on land, water, and energy. We believe that the ancient power of algae must play a key role in the food system of the future. That's why we are working on solutions that bring health and sustainability together.
Small organism, huge impact - the power of algae
Algae are fundamental, efficient, powerful, and ancient. Microscopic in size, but grand in nutritional value. It is the source of all life on earth, the lungs of the ocean, the base of the food chain, and the key to a brighter future. A solution that is millions of years old, but perfectly fits today's challenges.

Our plan
-
Change starts small – on your plate or in your daily routine. But it ends big – in the system.
That's why we are working step by step to build a new foundation. One where algae become commonplace in your diet, in supermarkets, and in society. We start with the value for you, to ultimately create collective value. -
FOR YOU
- Superfoods: Algae in their purest form, as a daily supplement to your diet. For your energy, gut health, skin, hair, and immune system.
- Supplements: Sustainable, pure, and junk-free alternatives to popular supplements, based on algae. Such as Omega-3, Vitamin D, Magnesium. Natural, plant-based, and effective.
- Supermarket: We develop products that integrate algae into the shelves: bars, protein shakes, cooking oil, pasta, snacks, spice mixes, and seaweed for cooking. This way, 'Vegetables. Fruit. Algae.' becomes the new staple.
-
FOR THE SOCIETY
- Society: We fight malnutrition with algae by enriching meals in places where it is most needed. In hospitals or, for example, in schools in Africa. High-quality nutrients, locally applicable.
- Sustainability: We support and initiate applications of algae outside of nutrition: bioplastics, biofuel, ink, ecosystem restoration, desalination, and CO₂ capture.
Building together
We're working on something fundamental. And that demands focus, creativity, and collaboration. That's why we're not choosing quick investors, but a strong, conscious community. People like you, who believe in a better future and want to help build it.
'Vote Algae'
Every euro you invest in plnktn is a vote for progress. For food that strengthens, for a system that restores. We invest your contribution in:
- Quality. Only the best algae for your health, always tested for food safety, produced as responsibly and locally as possible.
- Sustainability. We minimize the impact of your package, with future-proof packaging materials, shipping, and suppliers.
- Service. The customer is king.
- Marketing & Community. Visibility is needed to create movement. This way, we give algae the stage they deserve, both literally and figuratively.
- Product development. Relevant, healthy, and responsible products that enable you to be the best version of yourself.
- Collaboration & innovation. With other pioneers, we are building systemic change.
When did we win?
When algae are as common as fruits and vegetables.
When they have a permanent place in our diet, and in the supermarket.
When food is once again about what is good for body and planet.
When algae are no longer a promise, but a given.
Then we will have succeeded.
