While everyone is unique, our bodies largely need the same essential nutrients. Plankton offers an easy, daily supplement for your overall health. It contains an enormous amount of minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and protein, all of which contribute to a healthy lifestyle.

Together with algae specialists, we selected four unique micro- and macroalgae – one rich in fiber and antioxidants, the other packed with vitamins, minerals and special phytonutrients:

Ingredients

Algal oil (Schizochytrium sp.), sunflower oil, d-alpha tocopherol, antioxidants (rosemary extract, natural mixed tocopherols, ascorbyl palmitate). Capsule: hydroxypropyl starch, glycerol, carrageenan, purified water.

Plankton stands out due to its unparalleled nutritional density. Simply put, this means: many nutrients from a small amount. With just 2 grams of this pure product per day, you can already make a difference.

Furthermore, it is the natural origin of these four micro and macroalgae that makes plankton unique. While other supplements are often synthetic and contain excessively high dosages, plankton is 100% natural and plant-based, without synthetic additives.

Of course, nothing is mandatory! However, we do recommend a maintenance dosage of 2 grams (4 capsules) per day as a supplement to a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.

The capsules are made from HPMC (hypromellose). This is a polysaccharide (carbohydrate) extracted from plants & wood. This is also the most common way to make plant-based/vegan capsules. HPMC is known to be easily digestible.

As far as is known, our algae are free from allergens.

However, the product may contain traces of fish, crustaceans and shellfish. This is because the algae mix contains 2 types of seaweed.

Plankton is safe for children. However, for children up to 10 years old, we recommend 2 capsules per day. This is partly due to the high iodine content.

For pregnant women and/or during breastfeeding, we recommend discussing this with your doctor first, as there is insufficient research on the use of algae during these periods.

The recommended dosage of Plankton (2 grams, 4 capsules) contains approximately 60% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of iodine. This may be a point of concern for people with a thyroid disorder.

To limit iodine intake, it may be advisable to skip plankton or reduce the dosage to 1 gram per day (2 capsules). We always recommend consulting your doctor about this first to make the best choice for your health.
