The primeval water was stored safely for 130.000 years and is free from contamination and heavy metals. Now it is used for a valuable reason, namely: to cultivate Marine Phytoplankton, a sustainable superfood.
Marine Phytoplankton requires aquaculture. Still, less water is used for Marine Phytoplankton compared to almost any other crop. How is that possible? Because less water is needed in general and our water is used in a circular way.
No herbicides and pesticides are used in the cultivation of our Marine Phytoplankton. Only pure water together with food grade sustainable nutrient sources ensure that our algae grow naturally.
Marine Phytoplankton is involved in photosynthesis. The algae grow by sunlight and carbon dioxide is converted into carbohydrates and oxygen.Our Marine Phytoplankton is produced with just daylight and no additional heating other than to keep the production facility frost free during the winter.
The entire biomass is consumed in the cultivation of Marine Phytoplankton. While with other crops only parts of the plant are used, we use everything.

It is essential for Marine Phytoplankton that the packaging has a good light and air barrier. By doing so, we can ensure that the quality maintains. Therefore, we were forced to add an aluminum foil the to the pouch.
The packaging is 40-60% bio based and BPA free.
The advantage of our pouch is that it is very compact and therefore needs limited packaging material to be shipped.
