SUSTAINABILITY

The food industry is responsible for 30% of the global CO2 emissions. The nutritional value of fruit and vegetables has also declined in recent years because of depleted agricultural land. In addition, it is generally known that (over)consumption of meat and fish has major consequences for our climate and ecosystem. We must therefore look for alternatives that are both nutritious and sustainable. This is exactly where algae come in place.

Algae absorb CO2 in the production process and grow mainly on water and sunlight. It also costs very little external (solar)energy for this process to take place. As a result, the production of algae is climate positive, which makes us proud. We also source our algae as locally as possible. Always in Europe and preferably in The Netherlands. Our packaging is minimized, and sustainable material is used, such as compostable bioplastics, kraft and cardboard.
